I work with adults, teens, and relationships using a psychoanalytic approach. It is my belief that currently unbearable thoughts and feelings can be worked through to give space for new ways of being. Often what keeps us stuck developed for a good reason–to keep us safe and protected. While this work is not easy, the shifts can be profound.
Together, we can get to know parts of you that might be operating out of awareness. What may not seem significant holds meaning for us to understand. By developing openness and curiosity about what is inside of you, you might access more of yourself, and feel more like yourself. This is the place from which vitality and aliveness can grow. When this happens, symptoms which have been distressing may reduce, and relationships improve.
My focus has been on working with people who are queer, trans and gender non-conforming; parents of queer, trans and gender non-conforming kids/teens/adults; neurodivergent and disabled people; monogamous and non-monogamous relationships; artists; those who are grieving, and navigating phase of life transitions with aging, and more.
As a white, able-bodied person, I work to be aware of and dismantle systems of oppression within me. I strive to be of service to those who share and do not share identities with me across race, gender, sexuality, age, ability, immigration status, religion/spirituality, and socio-economics.
I see people in-person in Los Angeles and virtually throughout California. Sessions are 50 minutes in length, with a minimum frequency of meeting once per week. My fee is $175 for individuals and $200 for couples/relationships. I am able to offer a sliding scale fee based on determined financial need and my current availability. I am out of network with insurance providers, and can provide a superbill to assist in reimbursement from insurance. I am able to write letters to medical providers and insurance for gender affirming medical interventions.
In terms of my office accessibility, while the building is not ADA accessible, my office is on the ground floor with doors wide enough for most mobility devices. I am happy to assist in office accommodations. The office bathrooms are ADA accessible, gender neutral, and single stall.
